Overview

The Fuji Sakura Resort Villa sits in the Fuji Sakura Highland estate in Narusawa, Minamitsuru, Yamanashi, at an elevation of roughly 1,000 to 1,200 metres, where summer temperatures average around 23°C. The estate is under 100 km from central Tokyo and within two hours by road, about 15 minutes from the Kawaguchiko exit of the Chuo Expressway; Lake Kawaguchi and Lake Sai are both within 20 minutes' drive, and several renowned golf clubs and hot springs lie nearby.

Development of the estate began around 1960, starting with the discovery of a high-quality spring source and the opening of a members' golf club, and it has since become one of the most established premium villa estates on the slopes of Mount Fuji. Its water is filtered for decades through the mountain's lava strata, and the surrounding forest is rich in birdlife and wildlife.

Building and Amenities

The villa is a detached reinforced-concrete house over three storeys, on a plot of about 2,669 sqm with roughly 435 sqm of floor area in a 4LDK layout. Completed in 1990, it underwent a major renovation finished in 2024. The double-height living room is anchored by a fireplace; outside, a wide woodland garden, a timber barbecue deck and an open-air jacuzzi are complemented by a sauna.

Caretaking is provided while the owner is away, and during stays an in-villa dining service can be arranged around carefully sourced local ingredients such as stream fish, Fuji Sakura pork and seasonal mountain vegetables.
